For example, my weight problems came about because my eating habits changed during Officer Candidate School, after graduating I stopped working out but kept the same eating habits.

I ate ravenously, too. With no running on account of the fractures, I shot up to 225lbs within 3 months. I lifted so it wasn't all fat. I've long since dropped all that extra weight, though.

The crazy thing is, I read an article where Training Command said they're bumping up the amount of calories for USMC OCS. Apparently, the nutrition standards were designed based on the Army for 'moderate activity levels'.

I'm not a jerk. I've been in two relationships where I've watched my woman get fat. I can tell you that from my observation women spend a lot of time worried about how they look. They will spend hours shopping and at beauty salons but most of those same ones won't hit the gym. Too me, it seems like they would rather take the easy way and dress up their exterior, but underneath the makeup, clothes and shoes is an unsexy woman. I think that men and women owe it too their mates to maintain themselves as best as possible as close to how they looked when they entered the relationship if not better. I also think it has a direct effect on the sexual appetite of your partner. If I married a sexy 22 year then I want to still be married to a sexy 60 year. Especially, considering the fact that petraeus appears to have kept himself in relative good shape.

An awful lot is down to genetics. You might be able to exercise away some flab, but no amount of exercise on Earth will bring back skin elasticity.

You are blaming a 60 year old woman for being cheated on because she doesn't look like supermodels and actresses who obviously won the genetic lottery, generally look like they have their faces painted on, and/or have had copious amounts of cosmetic surgery/other expensive treatments. She looks like a normal 60 year old woman. If you go into a marriage expecting your wife won't gain weight and wrinkles over the decades, you're delusional.
