What the hell are you talking about? The whole concept behind "all men are created equal" is that you start at the same place--without noble birth--and work your way to the top. There is inequality but it is fair, because everyone is on a level playing field, under the code of laws.

There's no bum gene. There's a bag guy at the grocery store who obviously has down's syndrome. I have tremendous respect for him. He is able to be a productive person despite his massive disability.

I don't think there is a problem with a little redistribution to help the truly needy, no. He's certainly not as valuable to society as a businessman, but that's not the metric I use when judging someone.
