I think it is safe to say all of them should just die a horrible death. So horrible Howard the duck is there.

Good thing the world is ending in under 10 months.

I blame the new "Tim the Toolman" themed bots on the words safety in the thread title. Curse you, Disney!
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

Will the original actors reprise their roles? Assuming a timeskip, of course.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

              Hopefully not.

I believe you'd have to actually threaten Harrison Ford's family to get him back into the Han Solo role.

The sequel would be 20-30 years later, so within the lifespan of the major characters. However, it's late enough that there's no requirement I think to re-use the same actors; while Harrison Ford probably could, I think Hamill, Fisher, etc. are probably too out of shape/acting to reprise their roles (and, fortunately, are common enough body/face/etc. types that it wouldn't be hard to find replacements).

Mark Hamil is a much better voice actor in my opinion than regular actor anyway. His best role by far was the Joker.

Though them being out of shape could work story wise (need to pass to a new generation of Jedi since the old generation is fat and complacent - then again, do we want to see Luke turn into Jabba the Hutt?)

No one wants to watch a movie where the hot lady is now an obese cokehead.

She wouldn't be the "hot lady" in any event.

Also, I wouldn't sell Hamill short -- voice acting is still acting, and he has shown growth through that.

Why do we all want to see the original cast back in so badly? What would be wrong with a set of fresh faces?
