Okay, let's be fair. Indiana Jones was good too. Though that may have been Spielberg's doing.

I'm fine with this. The series really can't get any worse than the prequels already made it.

...okay, it can get worse, but the prequels ruined them enough that I won't mind if it does. Essentially, Darth Vader is dead to me; they might wind up ****ing his corpse but I can accept that provided there's a chance he'll come back to life instead.

Even if Lucas died and his last wish were for there never to be a Star Wars ep 7 it would be made. There is too much money in it. I may even have to see it because I'm such a ****ing sucker.

They could go way back in time and do something along the lines of Knights of the Old Republic.

Of course they could also do a spin-off that involves just C3P0 and R2D2 as the main protagonists. Maybe they could do something that explores the origin of the relationship between the two.

It being Episode 7 kind of kills that.

Anyone think they'll just butcher up The Truce at Bakura?

There's not enough there to make a triology. The Thrawn Trilogy or the X-Wing Books dealing with the fall of Coruscant would be better bets.

Maybe if they find someone REALLY REALLY good to play Wedge we'll be alright. He doesn't have to look the same.

Monkey Island II wouldn't be much of an Episode 7 either would it?

How about a series on the collapse of the force and the death of the Star Wars galaxy?
The cremation of Darth Vader, the man who had the highest midichlorian count ever, releases a massive amount of midichlorians into the atmosphere of the small moon and the ewoks mutate into force monsters, not necessarily maleficent, but lacking the intellect to control their new found gifts. The third star wars trilogy chronicles their rise to power, the vain attempts to stop them and finally the accidental implosion of their galaxy, leading to the formation of a new, force free Universe.
