    • Offering a "service" doesn't give you a right to public funding. Try again.

          • When it is established that the government will pay for services from a certain class of businesses, say medicare / medicaid payments to hospitals, it cannot bar payments to conforming entities withing that class on religious grounds. That's what the recent fight with Catholic hospitals was about, and that is still ongoing.

            • Okay. Don't say anything about religion, just refuse to accept schools that claim humans coexisted with dinosaurs.

                • If schools are to accept government money, then they should confirm to an acceptable government curriculum. This shouldn't have anything to do with religion. Anything else is the very definition of entitlement.

If the students in the religious school ace their SATs, does it matter how they are taught?

It seems in this case ... they are. ("acceptable" being defined by the government.)

The issue isn't how. It's what.

No, the other is the government refusing to let parents educate their children as they see fit.

It's not that hard to get. The vouchers are not public funding of schools; the vouchers are welfare payments to help parents pay for schools.
