He trolled you, not the victims. They don't post here.

I would, but I think you'd end up a) chasing your tail, like the TSA with shoes, and b) people would (perhaps justifiably) dispute what exactly constitutes a "red flag".

Generally I'd agree with you, but come on, not letting Nazis have guns is not going to bring down free speech.

I didn't think any of the victims would be reading this site.

It was directly aimed at people who think every American should be able to buy guns and that shooting guns is fun.

I was deeply skeptical of the latter until last saturday. It actually is pretty fun. It has nothing to do with the whole macho "oh yeah let's blow **** up" thing, it's just a fun skill challenge to try to get the shots in the center of the target.

It's not so much that we SHOULD let Nazis have guns--ideally we wouldn't. The problem is that we can't trust the government to make good choices about who should be denied something and who shouldn't. That's more power than the government can be entrusted with.

What's wrong with air rifles, pellet guns, paintball guns, archery, etc?

Is it fun enough to be worth the millions of people who died because of them?

He may have been banned, based on the nature of his discharge.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Nothing's wrong with them, they're just different to shoot. They have different challenges. I've shot air rifles. It's not at all like shooting a gun.

Paintball and pellet guns are about as accurate as muskets; shot placement is more random than it is skillful.

Archery is just totally different in every respect.

All sources say the gun was legally purchased.

I don't mean paintball matches, that definitely tests marksmanship, I mean competition shooting where you try to hit the bullseye.
