Never said it wasn't or that I was unhappy with my compensation. Making that much money a year while doing a job I love, in a state that I love more than anything? I waited 3 years to get this opportunity.

1. Find a job in the private sector, doing what I love, and working with good people and a good boss. CHECK.
2. Become an American citizen
3. Save up and buy a house and pay it off.
4. Get married to a wonderful Catholic lady.
6. Have kids of my own and look after them.
7. Make enough so that I can look after my wife and kids based on my salary.
8. Whatever left over, save up so that my family is taken care of in whatever eventuality.

Although teaching is challenging, the general public thinks it's easy and not good experience for other jobs.

I like teaching. I want to keep doing it. TX prefers having TX relevant teaching experience, is what I should have said.

Oh I will, once I get my TX certificate. Probably will go back to school and get r done in the spring. Also, please remember that TX varies per school district, and the variance can be quite considerable. I'm in Austin, so the numbers will probably be different here than in Dallas.
