You wouldn't get 48k a year teaching in Texas, and certainly not for a parochial school.I took home over 4000/month as a first year teacher.

Yep, I'm working to climb up that ladder though.At any rate a single parent with two kids who gets paid minimum wage makes more than you after taxes. Gotta put the time in - they vastly prefer TX experience.
