Even disco had its high points. Rap's highest point was that at least one rapper, for a brief period of time, got to do J. Lo.

Fairly popular?
Of the top 10 songs currently on the Billboard charts, #3, #5, #7, #8, and #9 are rap songs. Half of the top 10 songs in the country at this moment are rap songs. This is typical at any given week.
Fairly popular? More like dominant. No other genre has this command of popular music.
Urban areas only? Clearly not."Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

There's no such thing as a rap song, the greater part of the U.S. population is urban, and the damned "song" you just posted was an anti-cop screed.

No such thing as a rap song? So what is Billboard noting? How is 5/10 of the top-10 songs in the country being rap not dominating American music?"Flutie was better than Kelly, Elway, Esiason and Cunningham." - Ben Kenobi

Well, that and the line I heard claiming there was no difference between cops and criminals, or some rubbish like that. Certainly it fed off of resentment of the police.

Anyway, Nazis in Space sounds like fun, and that's the important thing here.
