“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

It's quite interesting that in the period since the collapse of the Mediterranean-wide Roman Empire (and I don't include the rejuvenated Byzantine Roman Empire under Justinian for obvious reasons) the 'miracles' supposedly accomplished by God are so ludicrous or easily explicable that the term 'miraculous' has come to be pretty much devalued.

In the Old and New Testaments we have a supernatural being who can supposedly part the Red Sea, cause the sun to stand still (with no discernible side effects for the Earth) cause a world-wide flood, raise the dead, transmute water into alcohol, cause genocide by germ warfare, et cetera.

In the modern era we have people claiming that their illnesses have been 'cured'.

Did you read the articles on the hypnotic cure of the young man with ichthyosis ? According to the then head of the British Association of Dermatologists, this was nothing less than the curing of an affliction such as club foot, as far as the physiological implications go.

There are many things that doctors have no explination.
Currently. We are always learning and re-learning. Today we see again the ability to reduce and combat infection of wounds through the use of raw honey- something the Roman military knew the benefit of.

Ibn Al Nafis knew of pulmonary circulation, as did Michael Servetus. The former's knowledge seems not have been transmitted outside of Egypt or the wider Islamic world, the latter was murdered (judicially...) by an unholy alliance of the Roman Catholic Church and Calvin's Geneva.

Pulmonary circulation was then re-discovered by William Harvey in Jacobean England.

I assign a divine wind helping along and working His miracles in everyday activities.
I credit the human mind and the human brain and evolution.

Why be insulted for God ? If you believe in the God of the Old and New Testament, then vengeance will be his (saith the Lord).

I really fail to understand why Christians or Muslims or Jews get so upset to the point of killing people for their respective versions of the Almighty, when if they are truly believers, they should leave any thoughts of vengeance or 'justice' to their Divinity.

Anything else strikes me as presumption.... or rashness.

We'd been talking about pre-determination and then you threw in 'determining factor'. I read that as a continuation of your pre-determination stuff. If you meant it as influencing or contributing factor then my apologies for misreading it.
                      It's no big deal.

We all do that. It's human nature. I do it too. When I do please say something.

Sorry- you know how it is when you're recovering from surgery, then someone invites you to work on a project in conjunction with the British Museum about the war with Benin in 1897, then you just have to buy a mask which you think may come from either the Fang people or the Bakongo people (no label, no history...) then you simply have to go and have Sunday afternoon tea at your favourite French patisserie in Soho to celebrate being ambulatory again, and you have to buy a few gifts for the nurses and medical staff and your kind friends just to say thanks...

                            I quite agree.

On the other hand there do seem to be large parts of the Old and New Testament that you are ignorant of.... and treading into theological waters when you don't have the appropriate flotation devices is little short of foolhardy- or stupid.
