I agree. White politicians easily brush off scandals like this.

But to be fair to Weiner and Spitzer, they are Jewish and not white.

Sanford was easily able to move past his scandal. It's not like he had to become a paid contributor on FoxNews or anything.

BTW it's been hilarious listening to Cain claim this is a conspiracy by "the liberal media" just as it has been hilarious watching the right wing nutjobs lap that horse **** up. Why is it funny? Simple, a great many Republican insiders are saying the allegations were leaked by the Romney campaign. "It's dem lib-ur-als trying to get me!" when in fact it's a fellow Republican.

You realize Rubio is a Catholic too, right? As well as Supreme Court Justices Alito and Scalia (evangelical favorites).
No, that's not what I said. I said the evangelicals, who make up THE key part of the Republican base hate Romney because he's a Mormon and that's why they're latching on to obviously fake candidates like Bachmann, Trump, and "on a book tour" Cain. Romney will be the nominee but he has to find a way to get evangelicals to vote for him so he MUST get an evangelical running mate. It's as simple as that because if you have a ticket with two people evangelicals don't like then they may just decide to stay home.

Rubio, Scalia, and Alito aren't running for national office. Romney is and if he wants to win he needs to get the evangelical vote so he's going to have to pick some retarded born again nutjob to be his VP candidate.

Apparently he bought one of the woman's silence for $35k. He must not be guilty of much, she would have gotten much more otherwise.

Non necessarily. If she was a worker at one of his pizza places, $35k might equal about 3 years of her income.

First he said "a small amount", then he said "3 months salary", and now it turns out to be one year's salary. This is called a rolling disclosure and any professional campaign knows to avoid them because they look so bad. Cain proves once again he isn't a serious candidate and instead is just on a book tour trying to up his profile so he can sell more books and more partisan speaking tours. If he was remotely serious as a candidate he'd be building a campaign organization but he's not doing that. He knows he can't win so he's just milking it for all it's worth before laughing his way to the bank much like Sarah Palin. A fool and his money are soon parted.

It was 1 year's income, on the nose. Mid-90s, so not a pittance at that point.

It's also reported that the other woman has formally petitioned the restaurant association to be released from the vow of silence so she can counter Cain's description of events.

I thought he started blaming Perry now.

A third woman came forward accussing Cain of sexual harassment. The first two were paid off and signed nondisclosure agreements forcing them to remain silent; Cain claims there was nothing to the charges but refuses to wave the nondisclosure clause preventing people from really getting to the bottom of it which makes everyone with half a brain think he's guilty. There is no word if this is true in the third case as it was in the first two. The man apparently has a past time of harassing every woman near him.

A third woman reportedly accuses leading Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain of inappropriate behaviour in the workplace.

I've heard some speculation it is Romney and others saying it is Perry. Either way it was a Republican so Cains "da lib-ur-als are out to get me!" claim sounds retarded.

Now a male former co-worker has come forward saying he saw Cain sexually harassing a female co-worker in the late 90's.

My take on this whole deal is that Cain served his function, he pushed all the other Republican hopefuls away from Romney, so now it's time for him to go. Cain's psychotic ad campaign alone might have done that, but the scandal was thrown in for good measure. The Republican primary is now un-officially over. They've now got plenty of time to repair any damage done by the in-fighting.

What the heck was up with Cain's ads? He was president of the Restaurant Association, surely he would know what a decent commercial looks like. Could anyone imagine the smoking manager plugging McDonald's or the fighting cowboy hawking for Arbys?
