I doubt the women who signed the settlement would risk getting sued by breaking the nondisclosure agreements especially since they haven't spoken about anything yet other than to ask for the nondisclosure agreements to be lifted. It's possible, I suppose, but doesn't seem as likely to me as a competitor who actually stands to majorly benefit from this.

A) That totally depends on the amounts in the liquidated damages clauses, if any, which are unknown.
B) That assumes they, Cain, and/or the NRA wouldn't ultimately seek waiver of those clauses, which at least reportedly has been sought.

We simply don't know anything useful. But speculate away.

*shakes head* You're missing the point. You may have heard that various media sources pay money for interviews. If, for example, a victim's liquidated damages clause provides for $10,000 and she has reason to anticipate $11,000 for the scoop, then it would be economically rational to breach her contract, even assuming the clause isn't waived beforehand, which it may be anyway. Replace the numbers however you like, but assuming an "intelligent actor" as you put it, this would be a rational choice and is a plausible explanation for what's happened so far, and also the simplest explanation, which is usually the best one. A nefarious conspiracy from the left or the right simply isn't necessary here.

Polls released last Friday show that 70% of Cain supporters claim the fact that he has settled mutliple sexual harassment cases in the past does not matter to them and isn't an issue which effects their voting choices. Wow.
