Sorry. He only established England's first genuine continent-straddling empire. No pokers up the bum, you see?

While I'd rather call that an imperial stretch of the Danes I do find the Wikipedia article on Cnut a bit lacking in King Cnut coins from the British museum

        What about Canute?
What about him? I don't have Valdemar either.

Charles I granted the royal charter to Cecil Calvert that established the colony of Terra Maria.

Based on that fact alone, I assume that he was a wildly popular monarch, and that his reign was known for its peace and cordiality.
          John Brown did nothing wrong.

If you're going to disregard him because he's a foreigner, you'd have to disregard every English monarch!

I'm pretty sure Canute spent more time in England than Richard the Lionheart did, for example.

How in the Holy Hells did you miss the greatest English monarch, Elizabeth 1?

On topic: Philip. Either him or O. Cromwell.

He missed the entire Tudor line!

                  Bunch of heretics, I guess!

                    HOLY ****!

BEN is such a ****ing disingenuous *******, he makes a poll without any Tudors to try to prove that point!

Then feel free to run a head to head poll. Good luck with that.

Where's Bloody Mary? I figured she'd be your favorite monarch, what with murdering so many Protestants

What do you mean, where's "Bloody" Mary?

                          She's leading the poll.

I think that's his cunning plan. When 'Someone Else' wins the poll, he will then claim that it's proof Bloody Mary was Englands most popular monarch.

EDIT: Just as I post this, he actually admits it. Beautiful.

I already called dibs on "someone else".
