Do you consider it inconceivable that someone would decide Christianity is the true faith and convert to it? Is it much more likely, in your estimation, that someone would pretend to be a Christian for over two decades because back when they were a community organizer they figured they'd probably be running for president a couple decades in the future and a Muslim couldn't win?

I can see him choosing that particular church because it was politically expedient, yes, I can see this. I'm not impressed by Reverend Wright's stand on doctrine either. He doesn't seem to stand for anything except that America is evil and white people made it so. That doesn't sound very *Christian* to me.

Ben is right, even if he uses all the wrong arguments. Obama is half-white, and his father is not a typical American black at all. He's not a descendant of American slaves and he's not a member of a Niger-Congo (i.e. typical Black African) ethnic group at all. He's a Luo, and has more in common with Askia from Civ V than with Shaka.
