I go on PATC work crews a couple of times a quarter. For some reason you strike me as the type that drives up and down Skyline Drive and considers taking a photo at a overlook "visiting Shenandoah".
I used to take trips hiking along the logging trails out where I'm from to kill an afternoon. And, there are LOTS of logging trails out where I'm from. I could literally drive 500 miles and never see another soul.
I might add that if "I want to live somewhere near Shenandoah because I like the outside" is a bit of a dogwhistle to me that you don't really go outside and are kinda flailing about. GWNF has just as beautiful country and is more isolated, compared to the Shennies where you aren't more than a couple of miles Skyline Drive anywhere in the park.
For a place to live, I like the countryside, and yes, I've seen pictures of the Shenandoah and it looks wonderful. It reminds me of home where the trees all fade and the light frost over the fields turning everything shiny.
I grew up on a farm, Lonestar.I am not a city person and never have been.

As I said, I really don't know much about Virginia, and never claimed otherwise. Personally, if I were to take a trip out there I would want to go see all the civil war battlefields.

Hey Ben, did you pick San Antonio for the rural feel or the large volume of other illegal immigrants?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

So you chose A collegetown, which conviently gives you all the comforts of a large town but hey it's "small". And of course yoi moved to one of the largest CITIES in Texas...
SA is much smaller and much less dense. Have you ever been here?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

I go there once a quarter, numbnuts. And "Sprawl" is not "no way man it isn't urban!"Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Making quite a few assumptions here, lad. Maybe you should be stopping to ask yourself what are some reasons why someone would want to live fairly close to a large city that have nothing to do with personal preference?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

I vastly prefer the suburbs to an actual city, but I am not a rural guy. You are not either, BenScouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
