In truth, I'm not a huge fan of either. Nobody in northern virginia actually needs a gun for protection and I bet like 60% of the people who have guns in nova never use them. And I've already explained my stance on the death penalty.

To be clear, what IS your stance? For or against?

I will deduce, assuming you are capable of thinking logically, that you are against the death penalty because you have agreed that there's no evidence about it as a deterrent.

Yup.

While expensive, it's a great place if you spend a lot of time outdoors. The county has lots of outdoors activities options. It's very close to "the City"(DC) without having to deal with the spillover of the riff raff(like Prince Georges County or Alexandria). Plenty of museums/historical sites, etc. Good mass transit. If you have kids it's one of the best public school systems in the country. And the mountains are a relatively short drive.

No -- because it's too expensive and pointlessly bland without anything unique.

I would love to hear what someone that lives in Calgary's idea of "unique" is. I guess Mount Vernon and Udvar-Hazy aren't good enough for Houston North.

I go on PATC work crews a couple of times a quarter. For some reason you strike me as the type that drives up and down Skyline Drive and considers taking a photo at a overlook "visiting Shenandoah".

I might add that if "I want to live somewhere near Shenandoah because I like the outside" is a bit of a dogwhistle to me that you don't really go outside and are kinda flailing about. GWNF has just as beautiful country and is more isolated, compared to the Shennies where you aren't more than a couple of miles Skyline Drive anywhere in the park.
