See, you've just posted loads of words and end up admitting it can't actually work in the real world.

You might as well have thrown in Star Trek replicator technology, or magic beans with a giant's castle in the sky.

I think you're right. If some people would still buy the same good if it were a higher price, they obviously think it's worth more than the current price. But they're not going to voluntarily pay that extra money because why would anyone pay more than they have to for something?

Pots and trellises I'm cool with. It's your magic soil-depletion prevention devices I'm struggling with.

This dude stood up to Rush & Hannity's foul treatment of the Good Doctor, and got his radio show cancelled. Tow the establishment line and regurgitate GOP talking points, or pay the price!

            http://www.dailypaul.com/177194/talk...us-please-read

If you aren't familiar with Jerry, let me bring you up to speed. Jerry has the 6th largest radio show in the country. He is on 200 stations nationwide and has 4 million listeners. He's managed to position himself over the years in the top tier of conservative radio with the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, etc.

The stations he is on are for the most part right-wing neo-conservative stations even though his opinions and principals are independent and leaning towards libertarian.

Recently when Ron Paul was completely ignored by the media after the Iowa Straw Poll, Jerry stuck his neck out and slammed the likes of Rush and Hannity for pretending Ron Paul didn't exist and for being bucket carriers for the Republican Party. You can see the video of this here:

ONE WEEK LATER after going after Rush and Hannity, WTNT, Jerry's affiliate in Washington DC cancelled his show and replaced him with a neo-con.

Jerry respondeded to this on his show the next day after a Ron Paul supporter called in to thank him for sticking up for his principals:

I spoke with Jerry's producer after this happened and I was told that WTNT was SLAMMED with phone calls from Ron Paul supporters protesting the cancellation of his show for speaking the truth. We did a great job sticking up for Jerry when he went to bat for us.

The problem with Ron Paul isn't that he gets ignored so much as that Bachmann doesn't get ignored too. He's actually slightly more electable than her, I think. In the same sense that celery is slightly more nutritious than styrofoam. Also, while I'm not going to quote him, I'd like to point out that BK defended Minuit's Manhattan deal with the natives back in post number 85.

BK thinks the US liberated teh Native Americans and didn't conquer them or steal any of their land, so he's basically bat**** insane.

The establishment digs Bachmann. A former IRS attorney who votes for wars and PATRIOT Acts while spewing disingenuous Constitutionalist rhetoric to be lapped up by your average Tea Party moron.

She didn't even want to be an IRS attorney but her husband wanted her to do it and she believes women are supposed to obey their husbands.

                      • The buyer pays less than he thinks its worth.
Again, this isn't the case. If the buyer's demand is sufficient. the buyer will pay more than he believes that the item is worth.

No one goes to the gas station and pays what they think the gas is worth
Uh yeah, yes they do. People pay more for gas than they believe gas is worth all the time. Why? Because not having gas and not being able to get to your job costs more than the gas. Gas is pretty inelastic.

, but they pay less because they can. It's called CONSUMER SURPLUS. You should look it up.
You need to look up 'inelastic demand' and why it's relevant to this case. It's also why gas stations can afford to sell gas at a loss. If gas were elastic, this would not be possible.

                          Uh lets see.

Original 13 colonies - taken from Britain.
                          NW territories - Britain.
                          Florida - Spain
Louisiana Purchase - Spain originally, bought from France.
                          Oregon - Britain
Texas - Originally from Spain, joined
Guadaloupe Hildago - Originally from Spain.
                          Alaska - Russia.

So what land did they steal from the Natives?

Your argument essentially amounts to the question, were the natives better off under a King or under a liberal democracy? If you believed that being ruled by Britain was better then why didn't the colonists stay with Britain?
