      31,400 words. considering how many words there are in the english language, that's not very many i suppose.

          I admit I immediately guessed what uxoricide was because of the etymology, it was kind of obvious but I'd never seen it before in English.

                  Yeah, there were a few that were pretty easy to figure out, but I didn't check them off. Interesting that the verbal SAT scores actually seem to correlate to their test, though I still don't know how much relationship there is to the real world.

                      Wow, Koya has a big vocabulary. I got 36,800 words. Tenebras I know from the Latin, not the english.

                      I believe caitiff is the most difficult word on my list that I know.
                      Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

                              As a point of comparison, I scored 790 on my verbal SATs (at 15) and 760 on the verbal portion of the GRE. I have done a lot of crossword puzzles in my life.
