I don't have a problem with that in college since you're there by choice so you can choose to do whatever you want. And while my daughter wasn't in programming, all of her classmates had computers.

Why are gay boys still being bullied and pushed around?

How could sex ed stop bullying? Even if the teacher says there's nothing wrong with being gay, is that really going to stop the kids from stigmatizing homosexuality?

Personal conjecture: you are rather young, you grew up in a loving family, you went to a decent school, you're much smarter than average, and you don't realize how tough life can be to people who don't have your background. Especially people of moderate overall talent and resilience.

Most teachers and professors I've had PROHIBITED cursive for written essays. Cursive is a nightmare to read.

As an educator I feel that getting bedrock things down, like actually learning to write cursive is more important than pretty much everything else. And that includes typing.

Cursive doesn't take long. I learned it at 6 in the afternoons after school. Are you suggesting we should teach evolution to 6 year olds?

My girlfriend - a teacher - says you all who support cursive need to cry a tear of nostalgia and get over it. She would also like to mention that she's about to take notes in cursive.

She adds that instead of focusing on cursive we could focus on grammar, telling time, spelling, and counting change.
