I've had issues with the kids I teach because they write, honestly, ~33% as fast as an adult with cursives. The time lost waiting for them to write down is tremendous. In Soviet Russia, Fake borises YOU.

Well the writing style isn't that useful, and I certainly don't write by hand like I was taught at school. And I cannot write at a fraction of the speed that I can type so all documentation I perform are always typed. Still, I do usually still take notes the old fashioned way.Speaking of Erith:

This is all stuff we should MAKE SURE they know as soon as they develop a potential for sexual activity, and perhaps even before (esp. abuse). In Soviet Russia, Fake borises YOU.

I agree that using cursive is much much faster for note taking if you don't have a computer or such around. But I will admit that unless I'm really paying attention, I'm the only one can read my writing.
But yes typing is faster and with the many technological advances, keyboards are becoming much more available for everyday/every way use. So this is probably inevitable. But it still makes me feel old. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

From that point - if you're going to need handwriting anyway until they're grown up (late high school I'd say), better teach them the way that works. In Soviet Russia, Fake borises YOU.
