    didn't know Ben wrote novels.
Not yet, and if she's not taken a look at the .99 cent ebooks, than she should. The best way to stop piracy is to fix the supply issue.

Let's consider some facts about Prince though...

      Prince made a dramatic 180 in 2007:

Pop music star Prince was long considered an Internet innovator and a friend to the culture of free file sharing.

He was among the first major recording artists to sell music online. This summer, Prince distributed more than 2 million free copies of his album Planet Earth as part of a newspaper promotion in the United Kingdom. Last year, he was honored with a Webby Lifetime Achievement Award for his "visionary use of the Internet to distribute music."

Prince was a pioneer in his efforts to give away music in order to promote concerts and merchandise. Long after he gave online distribution a shot, bands like Radiohead have, as recently as last month, made headlines with a similar plan.
All this stuff you all are saying criticizing Prince and saying what Prince should have done... He DID! But he had a dramatic change of heart a few years ago.

This looks like a great place to put this hilarious skit:

"He took us in the house and served us pancakes" is what got me the most when I first saw it.

I think it was the show's greatest skit, even better than the Rick James one.

It's a non-sequitur. It's just so random and absurd... so then what happened? He took us in the house and served us pancakes With Dave Chappelle as Prince presenting a plate of pancakes and then the cut to Charlie Murphy's unfazed expression and that jaw grind he makes is priceless.

Rick James is better, if only because Chappelle seemed to enjoy playing that role more.

The character of Prince was necessarily laid-back and aloof. As Rick James, he got to act coked-up.

I slightly prefer the Prince skit, but my favorite is the blind black white supremacist.

Yes, which is why the Rick James character is more interesting. Charlie Murphy is the best character in the Prince sketch.

Also, the presence of the real Rick James in his sketch puts that one over the top...

Real Rick James: See, I never just did things just to do them. Come on, what am I gonna do? Just all of a sudden jump up and grind my feet on somebody's couch like it's something to do? Come on. I got a little more sense then that.
                            [pause]
Real Rick James: Yeah, I remember grinding my feet on Eddie's couch.

Ehh.. I didn't like that one that much. The concept is unique but I wasn't a big fan of that one.

The "artist" known as "Prince" produces crap as final output. Anything that keeps this ****bag from producing more is a good thing.
