I wonder if the "damage to society" argument is no longer being used? It's been in Canada for six years now, and as a society we're stronger than ever relative to the US.
I think the new argument against gay marriage is "it's a religious concept". Which should alarm anyone who understands that there is a separation between church and state. If it's truly a religious concept, the state has no business being involved.
