I went back and checked, and you also addressed your threats against me to the forum in general, instead of to me in particular. In fact, in a stunning coincidence, it was to Elok towards who you initially addressed your threats against me.

As for being deaf, I'm sure that you were treated differently but some things are a matter of necessity. You had different needs and requiements.

Actually, no I didn't require any accommodations at all. I was able to succeed in a fully integrated classroom without any additional accommodation.

No, they didn't. Again, my disability is such that I was able to succeed without further assistance. But, I had to be given a chance to try, and they weren't willing to have me try.

It may have not been a perfect solution but like a lot of things it was probably better than what came before.

The solution was what eventually happened. Full mainstreaming with zero accommodations. But that took time. Again, at the time, they believed as you did that such a thing wasn't possible. Just like they believed that I was better off outside of a regular classroom.

A person can come to the U.S. or any country and become a loyal citizen. You Ben, come to the U.S. and run your mouth about a variety of things American but whenever you are pushed into a corner you declare that you are not an american citizen. That's what makes you an outsider, you show no allegiance. I would say that you show no allegiance to Canada as well.

Um, that's the truth. I am, at present, not an American citizen. I would gladly trade my Canadian citizenship for an American citizenship. I plan to do as my uncle did, stay here long enough to meet the residency requirement, apply for a green card and then wait the 5 years and apply for American citizenship.

Unlike my uncle, I also intend to renounce my Canadian citizenship, rather than retain dual citizenship.

I know that there are other great countries out there and I know that there are people on this site that love their home and country. But you, the only thing I can say that you show allegiance to is the Pope and even that seems misguided.

Well I hope my intentions are somewhat clearer. The only reason I would ever go back to Canada is because of the family I have back there.
