  • Considering that the vast majority of your posts are incoherent, I'd be rather surprised if you understood much at all...

It's an absolutely absurd justification for gun ownership.
To be fair, TMM explained that he went through something like it. His experience led to gun ownership. You can decry that as irrational. Perhaps it is. It's also completely understandable.

I agree that the hysteria over home invasions is a bit much (we had a really, really, really nasty one here in CT pretty recently, so trust me I know). If, however, an individual has an experience like TMM had, I'm hard pressed to call him a fool for owning a gun.

That doesn't have anything to do with what I think should be done at a public policy level (Step 1: revise 2nd amendment, Step 2: enact sensible restrictions on hand guns and other weapons, which may also be worth a ).

          • Yeah, I'm sure if you actually had a home invasion it'll make you more paranoid.

I'd probably just invest in a high-end security system rather than owning a gun, but that's just me.

The fact that you are a racist is what makes you a racist.

There's being politically incorrect and then there's blaming "blacks/browns" for what ails your country.

I don't have to know what they mean to arrive at the conclusion that you don't. Sometimes it's wise to assume you don't know it all. In this case, I would tend to defer to people who study crime, as my background and experiences don't exactly qualify me for expert opinion on such matters. You clearly think those numbers mean that "blacks & browns" are a bunch of violent criminals, whether they are here in the USA or in Canada (two different cultures, which you appear understand, based on another post of yours to Asher). I'm quite familiar with that line of thinking, and it's lazy at best & bigotted at worst. As such, it's worthy of contempt.

Hey, butwipe I never said anything about Canada.
but your background and experience is enough to tell me that I don't understand?
                      The facts speak.
I don't care how much you suger coat it.
I don't suffer from whitemans guilt as you do!

I thought you were talking about "blacks/browns", which we have many of in Canada as well...

So lets get this straight. Are you talking about Americans ("not Canada"), or are you talking about black/brown people?

I very much agree with you that the statistics show Americans are far more murderous and criminal.
