I doubt that national security importance means unique and irreplaceable (allowing for time). It means severe disruption in the short term and major PITA to replace.

Well, actually, with bad luck the absense of a vaccine facility could mean some number of dead people who would not have died were there not a strange confluence of events (flu, get it, heh heh). The dead might argue something about unique and irreplaceable...

I have no idea why Assange would not have redacted those facilities from the leak. The only thing I can imagine is that he is sociopathic and really has no idea what he is doing.

Assange is an egomaniac who is gladly being the face for Wikileaks, but from all accounts all he does is travel the world having unprotected sex with socialist women and making provocative comments to the press to get more publicity.

Wikileaks is far more than just him, and I'd be shocked if he redacted ANY document.

What do people expect? The dude is Australian.

Assange shouldn't have anything to do with any of this. All of the focus on him is because he's an easy target. He's quite obviously an immense douchebag, so it becomes easy to make what Wikileaks is doing out to be evil by attaching it to some sociopathic rapist with a "personality malfunction". It doesn't matter in the slightest, even if it were true. The leaks speak for themselves.

And like it or not, the US protects freedom of speech. It may well have been against the law to leak the data (as Manning knows now), it's not against the law to release information. That's protected in the US.

Time to stop focusing on the figurehead messenger and look at the real issue.
