Slovenia was told to take a prisoner if it wanted to meet with President Barack Obama, and Kiribati was offered incentives worth millions of dollars to take in Chinese Muslim detainees. In another case, accepting more prisoners was described as "a low-cost way for Belgium to attain prominence in Europe," a cable said.

There is one diplomatic memo mentioning King Abdullah's desire for the U.S. to bomb Iran's nuclear sites. I knew Saudi Arabia and the other Arab emirates along the Gulf disliked Iran but that's still surprising he would be willing to risk stability in the region (including his own kingdom) by advocating an attack. Anyone familiar with U.S. foreign policy shouldn't find much of this surprising. If anything, it makes U.S. allies look bad for being so complicit.
