Athiests don't say they know for sure. They weigh the evidence. That's what you claim to do, weigh the evidence. That's what being reasonable means. Yet you say that you don't know while all the time pretending that you do know (that God doesn't exist). If you really didn't know (and you would be a moron) whether God exists or not, you wouldn't be insisting that people who think he exists are stupid.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Atheists believe/know there is no God. Theists believe there is a God, Atheists believe there is No God, Agnostics claim we can't know.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostAthiests don't say they know for sure.
People who think God exists are not necessarily stupid, some of them are just brainwashed or have mental issues. They weigh the evidence. That's what you claim to do, weigh the evidence. Stupid people are more likely to be religious, but that does not mean religion is a substitute for stupidity.

I don't believe anything to be true. I have varying degrees of trust in particular ideas based on my own deductive reasoning and the deductive reasoning of sources I trust.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostHow do you know that what you believe is true?Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

Well I know this from experience, that if you tell the police that you have a gut feeling about something they will often hear you out, that's because as much as they are trained to be rational they know that gut feelings are sometimes true, not because of people's surroundings, but just because.Originally posted by gribbler View PostI'm not simply saying that gut feelings can be wrong. I'm saying that gut feelings strongly correlate with one's surroundings. That's why people in Pakistan have completely different gut feelings. There is very little correlation, if any, between what someone's gut feelings are and what the truth is. As far as truth is concerned, gut feelings are pretty much irrelevant.
I believe that my gut feeling is true, because I believe taht God put it there.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

I will say the same thing to you, as I did to Asher. I would hate to be on a jury with you, assuming you are who you say you are. But then I think you do believe some things to be true.Originally posted by Lorizael View PostI don't believe anything to be true. So then yes, you have a gut feeling that gut feelings are reliable.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostI believe that my gut feeling is true, because I believe taht God put it there.Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

Why, because I might consider the evidence rather than base my conclusions on the biases of a mammalian brain?Originally posted by Kidicious View PostI will say the same thing to you, as I did to Asher. This is the point. There is no proof either way. No one is saying there is. Agnostics are the only ones who are stupid enough to say that since there is no proof we can't know.Originally posted by Asher View PostAtheists believe/know there is no God. Not necessarily. I just have a gut feeling which causes me to believe. Really? I make decisions all the time, because I understand the nature of statistics. I can act without believing in something because I can place value in incremental knowledge.Originally posted by Kidicious View Post.
