You can't KNOW anything by faith. The whole point behind faith is you have faith because YOU DO NOT KNOW something. You HOPE and BELIEVE something to be true without KNOWING.
That's not to say you can know everything rationally. There are things you can never know. I choose just not to ignorantly believe something because it makes me happy. That's what you do."The issue is there are still many people out there that use religion as a crutch for bigotry and hate. Like Ben."

Now, an agnostic, as you call yourself, is nothing more than either a stupid athiest or one that is full of ****. Because an athiest has weighed the evidence and believes that he KNOWS that God does not exist. But an agnostic weighs the evidence (the same evidence) and says that they do not KNOW. An intelligent person can say "this is likely" or "this is unlikely" and behave accordingly. But it's folly to state you know something to be true based on "faith" in either atheism or theism.
I think it is far, far more likely there is no God but I'm not going to rule it out. I'm living my life by the odds and in terms I find reasonable, rational, and acceptable.

Asher,
This is your argument (and you are purposefully trying to confuse the matter). You are saying (and that should be clear now) that people don't have to have gut feelings (go on faith), because of education and advances in science. YOU ARE SAYING THAT THE LATTER IS A SUBSTITUTE FOR THE FORMER, and elok is not going to clear you of this. I demand that you explain the contradiction that you have made.I drank beer. I like beer.
