You don't get killed for being Jewish in Iran. Iran has 30,000 Jewish people and they're given there own representatives in the Iranian legislature. Compare it to Saudi Arabia, which allows no Jews at all, and they are considered allies.

They're is no denying a lot of Jews fled during the Iranian Revolution but the treatment of Jews and Armenian Christians in Iran is far better than how they are treated in most Arab nations, most of which have no Jewish populations left. Outside of Israel, Iran is one of the very few places in the middle east were you can find Jewish communities.Comment

So even if you do want to go ahead and say "Okay, so they didn't kill or exile ALL the Jews", which doesn't cut it for me, that still leaves the question of:
1. Women getting stoned for being raped
2. No homosexuals in Iran
3. Fraudulent democracy
In terms of garnering my sympathy, I think Israel is the clear winner here.
