Asher, there's one small thing that you need to give credit to the US for with respect to Afghanistan and Iraq, something which can not be said of Israeli incursions like the occupation of Lebanon... the US had good intentions of over-throwing oppressive regimes and bringing democracy to the Iraqi and Afghan peoples.

Whether it all works out or not or whether it gets worse or not, Saddam and the Taliban were not good for the people of their respective countries.

Israel has never had any intentions of bringing freedom to other peoples and their abysmal track record with the Palestinians makes that laughable.

Israel occupied southern Lebanon from 1982-2000.
