The thing is that Morgan Stanley was founded 2 years after Glass-Steagall passed so yeah it didn't exist at the time so his joke isn't very accurate. I mean it 'broke off' JP Morgan because of the act but you can't speak about MS saying it was relevant before it even existed.

I suppose we keep the FBI. They do a good job. CSIS gets folded into the NSA, and the head shuts the **** up. CIA stays, I guess; someone has to assassinate foreign pests. The Secret Service, Federal Marshals, and ATF get merged with the RCMP.

The RCMP provide provinces who don't want their own police forces with provincial police in rural areas, and are charged with protection of federal officials, facilities, etc.

The real trick will be the modification of Stealth Nation Technology to be effective when the nation has a military larger than the rest of the world combined, the largest GDP, etc. I'm thinking someone is going to notice that the USA simply disappeared from maps.

If approved California, Texas, New York, and Florida would be accepted into the united British North American entity as provinces. Each would get eight senators. The rest of the states would combine in a rational manner into sensible geographic entities and be accepted as eight or ten additional provinces such as the Carolinas (N and S Carolina with Georgia, perhaps) Patriot Columbia (Washington, Oregon, and Idaho) Southern Alberta (the Northern Plains states and Colorado) etc. New England speaks for itself.

Canada:

30 million people in 10 provinces.

USA:

300 million people in 50 states.

Canada should combine into 5 states and join the US.

Ontario, BC, Quebec, Athabasca (AB + SK + MB), and New Newfoundland (NFLD, NB, NS, PEI).

Alaska gets the Yukon and the Territories.

435 Representatives, redistricted across Canada + USA, and 110 senators, 2 each for each state.

I think I've made it very clear in past posts that I think the Queen is the best part of our current system here in Canada.
