Anyways, I do have to say that those that actually follow Jesus are more filled with love for their fellow humans, especially the disadvantaged than atheists, just as a general measure. However, in the same context atheists are nicer folks than those that use Christianity (or any religion) in order to control and judge others.“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Heck, I think Christians should go to different denomination services to see what other places are doing and the liturgical differences
As for Jon's statement, yes and no. It's hard to explain because Christianity isn't an ideology in the traditional sense.
Ideologies are systems of abstract thought. Christianity is a way of life. It's not just a system that you put on a piece of paper. I think a better way of understanding it is like if you were playing nethack. You have classes which play very differently, and you have conducts within those classes, voluntary limitations.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Which is another thing, despite the majority of the world's population believing in some form of religion, the majority of the world's population, by definition, has backed the wrong horse and is going straight to some form of fiery inferno or other such nasty place when they die because they can't all be right...
Has it ever occured to the Christians here that actually Islam is the religion you should be believing in and you've been wasting your time believing in the wrong God? I bet Allah has a special place in hell for people who jump ship to other religions Immy...

By the way, in Pollards book http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physicist_and_Christian (there is a link to it from Wiki, is interesting to read although I don't agree with all of it) he presents the view that many (including non-christian/judaic) people have experience with God. To him, the defining difference is that Christianity has a history of revelation and the best in Christ.
Many Christians, from all sorts of denominations, would say that some non-Christians will be saved. That God judges the heart.
