I can say the Israeli government lets itself be controlled by the ultra religious bozos which is always bad. Even if the majority of the population wants one thing if the ultra right wing religious want something else then the government gets down on its knees and sucks the nutjobs off. That's not good but it is hardly confined to Israel. Hell, the US just spent eight years with the loonies in charge of the asylum.
