Seems to me asher is saying that unless he's with Crosby he won't produce at all, hence why he must be kept with Crosby. Personally I disagree. I think Iggy can perform regardless of whether he's with Crosby or not. I'm not going to throw his linemates in the USA game under the bus because he had a bad game.

- His ice time was drastically reduced.
- The role asked for him was changed...instead of being on the scoring line he went on the energy line. This leads to different playstyles, one that does not directly favour scoring. Look at Toews -- he's not lighting it up a lot in the tournament but he's been one of Canada's best players on that energy line. You can't only look at scoring stats to see if a player is doing their job.
- The quality of his linemates was lessened which means the quality of the plays being made would also lead to less scoring chances

He is productive no matter who he plays with. He's MORE productive (in terms of scoring) playing with MORE capable linemates on a line in a SCORING role, LIKE EVERY OTHER PLAYER.

This event was close. It could have gone either way. EITHER WAY. So either decision, in my view, can be viewed as fair. In this case, it went Lysacek's way. Plushenko lost fair and square, on the ice, based on the rules of the competition. He should be man enough to respect the judges' decision.

Why the hell one should respect an absolutely unfair decision?

His petulance, his whining, his poor sportsmanship, and his childish efforts to tarnish the victory of a man (Lysacek) who came up revering him, have done more hurt the sport of men's figure skating than this outcome ever could.

I'll be the first to admit that in the past, I would watch the Russian skater go and quite frequently say, "OK, everyone else is competing for second place." but this time I didn't get that feeling. His skating was not above and beyond everyone else (with the exception of the one jump). I actually thought he didn't look like he was even trying to do his best. Yes, I am not an expert, but that makes what I saw even more telling. If I could see the lack, it had to be obvious others.
