I indicated that I don't know how much better they could be as they won gold and outplayed, outchanced and outshot their opponent in each and every game. You seem to dispute this.

Answer this-- to you is "outplay" a synonym with "beat" or "win"

This is a categorical error. There are always better arrangements, nothing is perfect. They could have blown out the Americans 17-0, and I'd still be asking the question if there was a better lineup possible.

IN a discussion about only the forwards and defence of Team Canada, the fact that the goalie sucked is your most relevant thing to consider is assessing how the "team" played. It leads you to pedantically and doggedly refuse to admit that THIS team outchanced, outshot and outplayed their opponents in each and every game (even when you know that everyone -- including myself having stated it several times in this very thread--accepts that Miller outplayed Brodeur and we are talking about the compositioon of the forwards and defence), You seem to be unwilling to accept the very simple concept that people will say a team outplayed another if they held wide margins of advantage in shots, chances and territorial play regardless of how the final score ended up.
