No, nowhere near gay. Happily married for almost 25 years with a beautiful daughter. The though of gay sex revolts me. But different strokes for different folks. When the previous administration fractured over whether to permaban asher or not, I was on the no ban side. So while I always had run ins with asher, in the end I stood up for him. Not because he is gay but out of principle. The judges are drawn from the same judging pool as they have been for years. The same judges that have been awarding Plushenko all those golds. It's pretty disingenuous of you to turn around and say they are incompetent. Pick one.
This event was close. It could have gone either way. EITHER WAY. So either decision, in my view, can be viewed as fair. In this case, it went Lysacek's way. Plushenko lost fair and square, on the ice, based on the rules of the competition. He should be man enough to respect the judges' decision.
His petulance, his whining, his poor sportsmanship, and his childish efforts to tarnish the victory of a man (Lysacek) who came up revering him, have done more hurt the sport of men's figure skating than this outcome ever could.Apolyton's Grim Reaper 2008, 2010 & 2011
