        He was an Olympian who died during the Olympics, but on a public slope and not as part of a competition or on Olympic facilities.



        The poor bastard you Canadians killed today wasn't taking part in a competition, either. Bochatay was training for an upcoming Olympic event, just like the Georgian luger today.

                      It's not unusual. There's a lot of **** to do in a small amount of time.

                      Ski jumpers can't even attend the opening ceremonies because they're doing the qualifying runs at the exact same time.

                        I'm boycotting this Olympics. Canada already had one strike against it after turning its back on years of training cooperation with the United States. Killing a guy with an unnecessarily dangerous luge track and not understanding the concept of an "opening ceremony" are strikes two and three.

                            I wouldn't put it past Vancouver to have done this intentionally.

                            Vancouver is known for pulling such stunts. They tried to blind the goalie for the Calgary Flames last time they played in Vancouver. It's a very dangerous town full of people like Ben.
