Omaha phone interview went bad. It was fine until I was asked if I had any questions. So I asked how the culture at the company was, since the website had nothing on this. His response was "what kind of culture do you need?" I was a little miffed, because I hate people answering questions with questions but I told him. When I was done he was all, well, that's puzzling. He asked me again if I had any questions. So, again, I asked him about the culture, and he told me the same thing I told him! When I asked him what the difference was he didn't have a response that made any real sense.
Even if they want me to come in I am not sure I will, the hiring manager sounds like he doesn't understand what I tell him, and that could make for a strange situation.Comment

Looks like I will be flying out to Fresno in the near future. Not this week though, it's flooding there.
My mom already has us offered and accepting a job, and is looking for something for wifey to do. I hope she doesn't get let down.Comment

Yep, it's pouring right now (started yesterday evening) and it's supposed to keep on pouring for the rest of the week. Just be honest. Even if you don't get hired, it's probably for the best. I had an interview with a tutoring business who lied about both compensation and their contract. I made a point of reading over their contract which stated there was to be revenue sharing, (ie, all the tutors got a percentage of the total) rather than straight hourly compensation, and the contract essentially forbade me from working on my own while I was with them.Now I wonder if he is thinking that makes me hard to work with
I was not surprised when they chose to hire someone else for the same spot.

Chicago area phone interview went well and I received feed back from a Philly area job. They said they liked my resume and were circulating it for consideration on other jobs as well as the one I applied to, so that's good.Comment
