That's at least twice that you've said it. I'm betting it gets said again.Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Yes. Absolutely. Worldwide the fatality rate now is 1/~643. It's obnoxious that you can't do basic math, and even more obnoxious that you think all illegal abortions are the same from country to country at any point in time and use that as a basis to make an argument fumbling your way through basic statistical analysis.
If we are to accept the numbers that NARAL and PP are throwing around, this would presume that illegal abortion is actually safer in Sudan now then it was in the US back then.
You are right, I shouldn't be using the modern numbers and the worldwide statistics. I should be using the statistics PP uses back then.
You took the current mortality rate for illegal abortions worldwide, applied it to the illegal abortions from 1950-1970, and then said "HEY YOU GUYS, THE NUMBERS DON'T ADD UP! ACCORDING TO THE MATH... " You're saying that an illegal abortion anywhere in the world is exactly the same across the world at every point in time.
You also found some ridiculous "source" on abortion rates without even thinking about how they could possibly be inaccurate.

Then why does the Netherlands have one of the lowest abortion rates and at the same time one of the most open societies when it comes to sexual education and contraception.
Something rarely discussed in this context, however, is the fact that it is now common practice for a woman in Holland whose period is late to go to her general-practice physician and receive a "menstrual extraction," or "menstrual regulation" -- a clever euphemism for a procedure essentially consisting in manually vacuuming the contents of her womb.
But here's the catch: In these cases, no pregnancy test is done to determine if the procedure aborted a preborn human in the first few days of life. Menstrual extractions are thus never recorded as abortions, which they almost certainly are in a large number of cases. The official Dutch statistics therefore grossly underreport the real number of abortions.Where's your ****ing scatter plot for abortion rate and contraceptive accessibility by nation?
Just look at the US historical numbers. Contraceptive use increased, and then abortions increased.

I'm still at a loss as to where this massive abortion-giving, money-making machine is. Planned Parenthood made a profit of $85 million after receiving $350 million in government grants and contracts.
