For the record Ben has never Bothered me, tried to troll me, or said any hateful things to me. PerhaPs I'm in the minority, I don't know. I must admit the Asher/Ben wars of years Past was very funny to read, and I do get a chucKle every now and then when he trolls one of you. You do it to yourselves.

You ALLOW yourselves to get mad. All you have to do is Pat him on the head and say "That's nice Ben." and move on.

JeePers it's like you all ENJOY the Ben drama. Last time he was Banned you just rePlaced him with AlBert SPeer. Get over it.

Ben has never bothered me or trolled me either. I found him quite a pleasant chap actually.

Seems to work fine for me in Chrome. It's javascript, do you have javascript enabled? Are you running an ad blocker of some sort? I'll clear the files from the CDN. Try clearing your browser cache.

I've been having trouble with it in Chrome too, particularly in the Post Quick Reply option. Go Advanced has more success, but is still hit and miss.

A. The one thing almost all of us agree on is that he sucks, and
B. Even after he's gone, he still inspires violent disagreement (over the most appropriate way to express our hatred for him)

The only other alternative is to adopt a zero tolerance approach, instead of letting him be a total c*nt for the last few months and, when banning him, automatically double the term of the previous offence: 8 months next time; 16 months the time after that, etc...

He's already winning in that by ignoring him he's forcing you to change your behaviour. Not to mention the fact that any potential new poster who turns up is pretty much going to be scared off by his posts.

When was the last properly new poster anyway?

Besides, Ben is easy to deal with: All you have to do is simply turn his posting style on him - he runs away then - basically he doesn't like a taste of his own medicine...

I think the fact that both Ben and Kid have been posting Thanks is hilarious. Clearly, both plan to return.

Regarding the posts that precipitated BK's ban, it's interesting that they've been described here as hateful and rightfully censored, while Ben (per PM) perceives the offense as minimal.

And yes, I am one of the hardcores who refuses to use Ignore. Sorry, not gonna change.

I think this actually speaks against Ming's point. Spink and YYYH may have posted some DLs for a few year, but they haven't been on this site for many years (Spink asked me not too long ago on Facebook how Poly was doing).

They both stopped posting because they got bored with the site... not because they were banned. Everybody knew which DL Spinks was using... and he made no real effort to hide the fact. YYYH on the other hand was far more discreet and only a few people knew his DL. But like many people, they just faded away from the site.
