I think Huckabee is doing the smartest positioning, and he has enough experience running that he should have a good ground game/field organization.

lot of these choices are pretty implausible winners of the nomination

I think people aren't reading the OP:

Vote for the top three you like the most out of the bunch, not who you necessarily think can win.

      --

Anyway, I voted for Crist, Powell, and Romney.

I voted Paul. The others seem more or less of GW's ilk, and Paul would be guaranteed to 1) cut spending and 2) provide a high degree of comedic value that is lacking in the current administration.

Oh yeah, I mean Barbour. Musgrove was of course his Dem predecessor, and Senate candidate last year.

I think people aren't reading the OP:

This exercise is a lot less interesting when the contenders aren't the least bit realistic, not just at winning, but even thinking about running. But if we're going to fantasyland: Lincoln Chaffee, Michael Bloomberg, and, say, Jodi Rell.

All of the above have been mentioned as possible candidates at one time or another.

Trust me, pundits were making 2012 predictions on November 5.

I think we should have a rule restricting all individual elections to a single thread.

I'm obviously not a fan of what the GOP has become, but I'll play:

Crist, Romney & Paul were my votes.
