Cops deal with *******s every day and it is bound to get to them at some point. The problem is that cops should be held to a much higher standard. They have tremendous power over us and when they have a bad day and get pissed people can die. I have nothing but respect for what they do and what they have to put up with but they should be able to work through the *******s of the world.

If you've ever been you would understand. Texas is like northern BC, except the people are friendlier, the food is better and the climate is warm.

When I get pulled over I'm polite and respectful, and have always received the same consideration from the cop. But that DOES NOT excuse an abuse of authority against people who aren't polite or respectful. Tasering is NOT supposed to be used as a summary punishment by the cops for the crime of being a jerk. It is supposed to be used as a less-lethal method of controlling a suspect whose actions are a danger to the cop, others or themselves.

The point that usually goes missing in these debates. Most folks think tasering is okay when the "suspect" hasn't complied with a verbal request. It's not.
