So Republicans are saying that it's okay if they can appoint a conservative-biased justice to U.S. Supreme Court, but that it's wrong for Democrats to appoint a liberal-biased justice to U.S. Supreme Court.

Does anybody here really think that the competence or intelligence of judicial nominees has anything to do with how they decide cases? From what I can tell you'd do just as well appointing semi-literate alcoholics to the court. Every ****ing case will be decided 5-4 or 6-3 anyway. I'm completely against AA in general. I don't see the harm here, however. The appointment is highly symbolic and political. Anybody with half a brain can write up a cogent reason to vote one way or the other on any given case.
