BK, there are no "success" stories of people changing their sexual orientation. Gays will always be gay for the rest of their lives - even those who live a life of lies and denial by marrying, and staying married, to someone of opposite gender.
Lies, or not, there are people who were very unhappy living life as a gay person, and who have been successful in getting married and having children. They see it as a truer reflection of themselves, and they are happier for it.

We aren't simply the sum of our sexual desires, Mr. Fun. Happiness is much more then that.

So why judge people on their sexual desires?

Who's being judgmental? All I'm saying is that the best outcome wrt to health is to get married and have kids.

That's still making a judgement--and with the way you've spoken of homosexuals in the past and in this thread, it certainly sounds like you're making a judgement on them, as well.

Tell me, is it difficult to continue to be that disingenuous, or does it come naturally to you?

Fact: Kids introduce stress. You'll live longer without them.

Duh. You are like, so "smart" for pointing out something so rudimentary and basic.

The intent/meaning of my point was NOT to say that we're a simply only sum of our sexual desires.

How is it a judgement to say that you'll live longer if you exercise regularly? You'll live longer on average if you get married and have children, a fact which applies equally to me as I have neither.

I don't see why saying, "doing such and such leads to healthier outcomes" is at all judgemental on the person.

Excellent. So you're in favour of gay marriage, as in gay men marrying gay men, and gay women marrying gay women?

If we're still to take this exercise example of yours seriously, you've sort of argued against yourself there. There's no doubt that people who exercise will generally live longer, but that doesn't mean we grant any less legal rights to the people who choose not to work out.

Either how, you don't suppose the reason married people hang out for longer might be that, oh I don't know, maybe that they were actually able to marry the one they wanted to marry, and that their partnership is formally and socially accepted?

Would you seriously estimate that you or I would live longer if we married somebody we weren't romantically interested in? Holy smoke, I just can't believe you cannot or will not acknowledge what should be so obvious.

It also doesn't mean that we grant benefits to those who choose not to exercise.

I never said anything about 'longer'. You've read that in. All I've said is that on average, those who marry live longer then those who for whatever reason opt out.

Yes, you would and for rather obvious reasons.
