    The claimed to be tea party people who just really, really liked carrying around and throwing tea bags while wearing "Tea Bag Obama" t-shirts. Most people called them what they are, tea bagging idiots.

    I'll have to look up that video of nutty tea baggers saying books need to be burned, that HD TV converter boxes are secret government brain washing units, and that parents shouldn't ever let their kids go to college because those are socialist brainwashing camps. We're talking some real nutters here.

        Discounting the whole thing because of a few wackos is silly.
        Actually I'm impressed that they got that much press for this considering how much of it was plain propaganda.

          I'm not surprised at all. The press loves right wing demonstrations.
          Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

              Nope, it's the extreme right fringe, not the GOP as a whole.

              One thing I didn't see at the demonstration, anyone who wasn't white. Most of them were dressed quite well, and a lot of them had that smug, self-satisfied look that frat boys have.

                    Besides you have to consider the target audience.
                    I would think that most blacks are cheering that Obama is trying to stick it to rich whities with taxes.
                    The right has always been somewhat successful trying to take advantage of class warfare.
                    Fear is one of their favorite tools. Seeing mostly well of whites probably worked to their advantage (I did see a few blacks in the chicago crowd, BUT not many)

                          Like the Rush incident proved, Steele is only the titular leader. It appears to have been organized by Fox News, which is an arm of the GOP.
