Sorry but local wingnut radio was urging people to show up between 11am and 2pm. I went there a little after noon on my lunch break because that's where the passport office is and there really was 100 people or less there during the prime time tea bagging.

My point is that the tea bagging estimates from the tea bagging organizers just don't add up to what I actually saw. That makes me suspect all of their other numbers claims.

The best thing about this has been the media response. They could've let this all blow over with little coverage, but they got so worked up about questioning of Obama that they felt the need to resort to junior-high teabag jokes. It's good that the mask has slipped a little further off.

Sorry man but those nutters are all yours.
Unfortunetly for you Oerdin, if you look at the other youtube videos she posted its pretty obvious she is in now way a right wing anything. She is actually completely bat **** insane. And like I said in the very incident you posted she was taken to task by another protester. I don't hold ELF types against verious lefty protests (especially peaceful ones) when I know they just showed up to a protest about something unrelated.

And now that I think about it I am pretty sure this is the exact protester who was exposed as a plant.

Anyone see that CNN reporter go crazy in Chicago. I have seen O'reilly and Olbermann go hostile on guests like that, but I have never seen a primetime "nuetral" story reporter do that.

Oerdin, if this is what you are going to stoop to then I think its time you go ahead a retire from this thread. As you just alluded to yourself you were on your lunch break. How many of those who attended were on their lunch break? Unless you think most people have a four lunch break the simple fact is that a protest held on a non holiday Wednesday is going to have a lot of spot attendance. I would expect this for any protest held on a similar day.

The logic above is sound, I suggest that if you can't bring yourself to at the very least accept something as simple to that, then you really need to stop and take a deep breath before you end up in exile again.

My point is that the tea bagging estimates from the tea bagging organizers just don't add up to what I actually saw. That makes me suspect all of their other numbers claims.
Thats nice, given common sense you should not be basing anything on a few second glimpse of one city's protest.

Worked up? How delusional can Drake be? Most of us where laughing at their factually incorrect and illogical claims. Laughing at idiots doesn't mean anyone feels threatened and instead means we know something hilarious when we see it.

The person filming was not a protester. Simply a nonpartisan blogger who wanted to see what the tea bagging was all about and who said he was horrified at how nuts they were. This is the face of the die hard Republican right and I agree, they are insane. Yes, the majority of conservatives haven't completely lost their minds yet but this is still a good illustration of the types of people attracted to tea bagging.

Sounds like an open and shut case to me.

                      Yeah, that was classic:

I have to say, no matter how much I disagree with a lot of the people there and no matter how much the particular guy she talked to was making a pretty inarticulate case, that condescending and dismissive attitude she exemplifies only invites the sort of whining about "elitism" that energizes these people. At least maintaining the appearance of objective neutrality wouldn't make them feel so vindicated.
                      Unbelievable!

A couple of things, dude, most people work in the day. So even if they wanted to show up, they probably couldn't. The time to pay attention to the numbers was after work.

As for the numbers, I've already addressed that. If my past experience with the media counting protest attendees is any guide, they were under counted by at least a factor of two. In Fort Lauderdale, which doesn't show in the national numbers you cited, the local media claimed 1,000 people attended, when it was at least 3,000.

A more accurate number for these parties, nationwide, is likely in the 50,000 to 100,000 number.

The people organizing the local tea bag party were uber-right wing nutters. Don't know about anywhere else.

I'm tired of the faux-objectivity. I'm much happier now that the media is starting to drop that pretense.

Oerdin, perhaps you are reading a different thread but this one has pretty much become nothing more than people pointing and laughing at you for you retarded claims of failure, money spent, and attendance.
