I'm inclined to lean this way as well. Asher has a way of getting under people's skin. Dale has made a lot of good contributions to the forum. Then again Dale's been banned recently, and has escalated his violations. I'm glad I'm not a mod here.

If Dale is too much of a ***** to handle a bit of friendly trolling, he should be permabanned for his own good.

Not surprisingly Asher is once again the focal point of an argument that got way out of hand. Of course it's not really his fault Dale went ape**** and acted like a fool towards him, but it's certainly not a coincidence considering Asher's many personal attacks when discussing around here.

It's rather par for the course for the internet (in general) though. Poly (at least the OT and some other specific forums) has been on a long spiral down from it's position as a community for reasonably friendly and intelligent debate (always have been exceptions of course), to just another forum for mudslinging, ego posturing, and general immature outbursts... of which there are already countless examples on the net.

Don't read this as a complaint from me, I don't mind and have even contributed some of my own **** to the forum repository. I still post here because I find what it has become amusing in it's own way. Dale obviously went too far... I'm just saying I don't find that type of response very surprising given the current atmosphere of the forum.

But the Admin and Staff choose when and where to enforce what at that moment they feel is right or wrong and by whom, very little guidelines followed, but as has been told on too many occasions, ifin ya ddont like it tooo bad, this is not a democracy


Therin lies a major problem, the owners allow much to go on and then stuff like this happens and well, its sort of to be expected, its condoned, and as terrible as the offense was, why was it not told to Asher and then remedied?

Says a lot of the character of the site, damn shame too....

But, we all still come here, we fuss and complain but we still come, maybe this instance will help those in charge focus on bringing this to a more respectable level of a website...

Yes, we should have told you, Asher, that your post loss was the result of abuse by a staff member. As Chief Owner/Administrator of Apolyton, I apologize that this did not happen.

As has been said, the action by this member did result in their immediate removal from staff (including a ban).

I don't feel comfortable posting on a forum where death threats are permitted (anything less than a permaban, implies tolerance).
