The end of the seawall could be room for additional posts. If we start the circumference wall back here then the ever enterprising Philippino will be able to access the yard np.

Even coming a ways around the bend might not be a bad thing. The gravel on the other side is rather high which we didn't have at our place.

See?! This is why I have to be there, so I can see things in person. :frustration:

It looks like we're thinking the same though. That'd be a nice spot to sit in the evening, sip beer or choco-rum with friends and watch the mating dance of tug boats during mating season.

Initially, I was worried that, if the walls were too low, mischief makers could scale them easily. But I'm going to have the same problem on the other end of the seawall with the stairs. And I don't want the walls so high that they block the view from the property.

So with those goals in mind, you're going to have to make this call for me pal. We can have the circumference wall on the stream-side of the house, and the seawall on the ocean-side of the house, but I'm not in a position to point to a precise spot and say where the circumference wall should end as it meets the seawall.

If we end up with a low wall, I'm sure we can later come up with some kind of solution. Maybe one of those iron-bar fences which are topped with spikes--keep it well painted to avoid rust in the ocean air.

Yeah, if you figured a 45 degree set of stairs inside then either fix it or put some climbing gear in the next box...
I'm working on a way to have the inside stairs rise 1 1/2 meters for every 2 meters in length. The outside walls of the house will be the same, as will the rooms on both ends, but the "guts" of the house will have to be reconfigured. I should be able to e-mail Tito and to post the new drawings in the next day or so.

After this house is built, I can't wait to see the sequel thread on watching it collapse.

--Lance, did my answer help at all?? Or was it so vague as to be utterly useless?

I believe with the seawall height you've chosen plus the height of the circumference wall at my place which you went for also that you won't have any problems. I'll pick the spot, np.

Don't forget the spiral staircase option. They've got a guy here that can whip you up almost anything and it solves alot of problems.

MrFun, this is a seawall that weighs a bazillion tons tied directly into a cement house that weighs another. I think it will fall when hell freezes over but if there is an extreme cold snap, well, it would make quite a splash.

Japher, if you saw the guy's work you would call him master too.
