An update for those of you who haven't been reading Lancer's Philippines thread: I've leased some oceanfront property in the Philippines from Lancer & Dolores and have a construction crew building a house for me on it. The seawall is just beginning.
Because there's a lot of trees on the property, designing a single structure proved to be difficult. So I'm planning a few out buildings. The first to go up in the "laundry room." It's on the streetside of the property and gives us a place into which to bring water and electricity early. Lancer & the guys will be putting a temporary wooden front on it, so they can use it for storing the cement mixer and other items.
I'm in Los Angeles, so Lancer is posting pictures as the work progresses. This gives me a chance to wail, "Noooooooooo!"

You don't need to know this yet -- but this is IMPORTANT so I'm telling you now! I hate electrical wires hanging in the air. Loath them! Despise them! So, when the time comes to run power from the laundryroom to the main house, please run it by way of an underground conduit -- PVC pipe, or some such. Thanks.
Here's the first day of construction. That's my architect Tito on the left. The other guys are digging to bedrock to lay the foundation for the seawall.
