This response goes for Kuci as well. How can someone enforce the law or even convince people that they should fork over more money to the government when they act in such a fashion even after being informed they were in error?

Normally I would have just assumed so, but Since the ONE got elected, there's been a lot of kool aid drinking around here.
Eh, honeymoon will be over sooner or later.

Is this really the best that Obama could do? I mean honestly. The man knew what he was buying before he made the appointment. I don't see why the honest taxpayers should be going through the extra effort to comply with the regulations when it's obvious that the elite are above the law.

Obama needs the taxes he can collect. I don't see why he would be giving people excuses to cheat.

That you didn't come running in here when the DHS Hired illegals for domestic staff at the Secretary of Homeland Security's house leads me to believe your complaint is a largely partisan one.

It also assumes that the IRS has no professionals in it, and is largely dictated to by whomever is at the top.

Yes, if you find a mistake has been made then you file an amended tax return in order to fix the mistake. Apparently this was a complicated case as he was working for the World Bank at the time which is treated like working in another country but isn't another country. The CPA he had been using for years wasn't aware of the intricacies of this sort of case so he gave (in writing) bad advise. Later on when he switched CPAs the new CPA reviewed his other recent returns, identified the error, and amended returns were filed. I'm still not seeing a big deal here.

I think it's the timing of the fixes is what's disturbing people.

Where's this letter? I saw no mention of this in the Senate report.

Lonestar as it seems like you either a) can't come up with even a half assed reason why this shouldn't be a big deal as even Oerdin of all people tried even though he's yet to give a source for his claim or b) have nothing of substance to say on the subject other than random ad hominems what are you trying to accomplish by continueing to waste Poly's bandwidth with your posts in this thread?

Really easily. If someone disobeys the IRS, people with guns typically make their lives unhappy. And if you think he's setting a bad example, that worry is really overblown IMO. No one will remember this in a month unless y'all actually get your way and he has to withdraw. (Even then, only a few people will remember in a month.)

Question: Why doesn't Obama just have the guy consult the Secretary of the Treasury instead of actually being the Secretary?

Answer: He'd be given a 1099 and would have to pay Self Employment Tax, thereby perpetuating the problem.

OH! Tax humor. I kill myself...

It's not just about setting a bad example. How is the man supposed to manage an operation as complex as this financial recovery is likely to be if he can not even manage his own finances?

                            Don't bother argueing.
He was appointed by the "ONE" and by rules of association, since the "ONE" is perfect, so must be his associates. So don't worry about the details, everything will be all right because the "ONE" said so.
I don't know how you could argue against that.

I think he's a tax cheat. There's a lot of cheats in the financial system already, but I wouldn't expect one to be appointed to such a position as this guy by the president. Oh well. I doubt if it will matter much.

He's just pointing out that you're a tool for the Republican party. Scandals and corruption by Democrats warrant your full attention. Scandals and corruption by Republicans - your gives-a-**** malfunctions.
